About Kentucky Police Jiu-Jitsu Association

The Kentucky Police Jiu-Jitsu Association (KPJJA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening officer safety, wellness, and professional readiness across the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Founded to provide structured, grappling-based training opportunities for law enforcement professionals, KPJJA serves as a statewide platform for continued education, interagency collaboration, and officer development.

For the past three years, the Kentucky Police Jiu-Jitsu Camp has brought together officers from across Kentucky and neighboring states for high-level instruction and camaraderie. In 2026, KPJJA formally launched as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to expand and institutionalize these efforts statewide.

KPJJA does not replace departmental defensive tactics programs. Instead, we supplement existing training by offering continued skill development in a safe, professional, and peer-driven environment.

Through regional open mat sessions, annual training camps, instructor development, and strategic partnerships with nationally recognized law enforcement training organizations, KPJJA aims to:

• Improve officer confidence and control in physical encounters
• Reduce training and duty-related injuries
• Foster professional standards and discipline
• Strengthen relationships between agencies across Kentucky

Our mission is simple:
Safer officers. Stronger agencies. Better communities.
